The Ameen agent
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Ameen is a personal assistant people use through WhatsApp. When someone asks Ameen for something only a web page can answer, such as a restaurant’s available times, a film’s showtimes or a grocery price, Ameen’s browser agent opens the specific pages that request needs, reads them, and gives the result back to that person.
What it does, and what it doesn’t
- Every page it opens is for one person’s request on WhatsApp.
- It opens one page at a time, at a pace similar to a person browsing.
- It does not crawl or index your site or keep a copy of it, and nothing it reads is used to train AI models.
- It never logs in to anyone’s account, never pays, and never disguises itself: no rotating IP addresses and no imitation of another browser or person.
How to identify it
Every request the agent sends is signed with Web Bot Auth (HTTP Message Signatures, RFC 9421).
- Key directory:
https://agent.heyameen.com/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory - Key ID:
R-su2bCSXCV5-3Iv5P7_x5jLl9HK9hMkPM8nXQZkEnU(Ed25519) - Signature-Agent header:
sig1="https://agent.heyameen.com";type=directory - User agent: the standard Chromium user agent, unchanged.
- Network: Google Cloud, region me-central1 (Doha). These are shared Google Cloud addresses, so the signature, not the IP address, identifies the agent.
robots.txt
The agent checks a site’s robots.txt before it opens a page, and does not open pages the site disallows. It follows the rules a site sets for User-agent: ameen, and the rules for all agents (*) otherwise.
Opting out and contact
- Email hello@heyameen.com to ask us to stop visiting your site. Opt-out requests are honoured within 24 hours.
- Block the signed agent in your bot management or firewall rules, by the key directory or key ID above.
- Disallow it in your robots.txt with a
User-agent: ameengroup.
Operator
The Ameen agent is operated by Mahmood Thamer A. Alreefi, Commercial Registration No. 201087-1, Kingdom of Bahrain.
